Rejected from First Registration of Muhammadiyah University of Metro

A failure experience of my life was rejected from first registration in Muhammadiyah University of Metro. Two years ago, I was graduated from senior high school, and I had a good chance to continue my study in University. My parents recommended for me to continue in Muhammadiyah University of Metro, because it is not too far from my home.

When I got information about Muhammadiyah University of Metro, I decided to choose English Department for my major, because I like English very much since I was in elementary school. At first, I came to Muhammadiyah Unversity of Metro to registered, after that I paid for the registration and collected all of the requirement for being an undergraduated student. A week later I got the test, the test was about the skills, interview test and reciting Al-qur’an. I was very nervous because I did not know that the interview test with English language, so I did not prepare anymore to speak English, and that was very messy. After that I passed the interview and continue to reciting Al-Qur’an.  And Alhamdulillah that was clear.

Two weeks later, I came to University of Muhammadiyah Metro with my friend to look the announcement. At that time I was very confidence and believe that I can join as Undergraduated student of Muhammdadiyah University of Metro.  But when I came to looked at the announcement I was very shocked because only ten students that accepted, and there was no my name, I felt very shy with my parents and afraid to told them, and I decided to kept silent about that. After back from UM and went home, my parents asked me the result, and I said that I was rejected while cried. But my parents gave me support to follow the second registration, so I decided to follow the second chance.

At the second chance, I was prepare anything well. I prepared to speak English, reciting Al-quran and also for the writing test.i passed the second registration like before and for the test, I have been prepare so I was believe that I can pass well. And one week later, I looked at the announcement on internet, I always prayed every night because I won’t  make my parents disappointed with my result again. After that I looked how much the students that accepted in second registration, and looked there are about  twenty students, I looked from the top and I was shocked while screming, there was my name in the third number, suddenly my father came and ask wht happened with me, and I told my father that I have accepted and my father seem so happy. I was so happy at that time, and I lerned something, that the failure was not the ending.  Sometimes it only need more sacrifice.
